Election promises
- 1I promise to work for the implementation of the new health guarantee, which ensures the right to care in non-urgent cases within seven days. Currently people in Southwest Finland get care within seven days half as often as in the country in general. This needs to change. To accomplish this, we need to strengthen the public basic health services, not channel tax funds to private profit-seeking companies.
- 2I promise to act for improvements in elderly care and for lower client fees in our social and health care services. The high fees increase poverty among many elder citizens.
- 3I promise to continuously defend the role of social services as this reform is not just about health services. As we strengthen the basic social and health care services, we also need to strengthen the role of social work and make sure we can invest enough in child welfare services, preventive family work and preventive services for adults.
